Create a Google Ads account

The essentials for creating a Google Ads account ready for Snifferdog, with a link to Google's full guide.

You need a Google Ads account to run Search, Display and Performance Max campaigns through Snifferdog. It is free to create; you only pay for ad spend.

Before you start

  • A Google Account (Gmail or Google Workspace). Ideally use a shared business address rather than a personal one.
  • Your business website address.
  • A payment method: card, PayPal or bank account, depending on your country.

The short version

  1. Go to ads.google.com and sign in.
  2. Enter your business name and website.
  3. When Google suggests creating a campaign, look for the option to create an account without a campaign. Snifferdog will build your campaigns for you.
  4. Set your billing country, time zone and currency carefully. Time zone and currency can't be changed later.
  5. Add your payment details and submit.
