Why haven't my ads started yet?

The most common reasons approved campaigns aren't running yet, and how to fix each one.

Approved a plan but nothing is running? These are the usual reasons, roughly in order of likelihood.

1. Platform ad review

Every platform reviews new ads before they run. This usually takes under 24 hours, occasionally longer. Check each ads manager for an "in review" status.

2. Account approval or verification

New TikTok accounts must be approved, and Microsoft may require Advertiser Identity Verification. Ads won't serve until these are complete.

3. Payment issues

A missing, expired or declined payment method stops ads immediately. Check billing in each ads manager.

4. Scheduled start date

Check the campaign start date in your media plan.

5. Ad rejected

If an ad breaks a platform's policies it is rejected. Each platform explains why and lets you edit or appeal.

A note on the learning phase

Even once live, results in the first week or two can be patchy while each platform learns who to show your ads to. That is normal.
