Spending controls: how your budget works
How your budget is set, how to adjust spend per platform before launch, and how to increase your overall budget.
Your budget is set by you, approved by you, and spent through your own ad accounts. Here's exactly how it works.
Where your budget comes from
Your overall budget comes from your brief. Snifferdog uses it to recommend how much to spend on each platform in your media plan.
Adjusting spend before launch
Before a campaign goes live, you can increase or decrease the spend for each platform in the campaign editor. For example, you could move budget from Meta to Google Ads.

Increasing your overall budget
To add more spend overall, edit your brief with the new budget and run it through again. Snifferdog will build a fresh plan around the new total, which you review and approve as before.
Nothing launches without you
No campaign goes live until you approve the media plan. Once live, you can pause and restart campaigns from the Campaigns tab at any time.
Who bills you for ad spend
Your ad spend is charged by each platform, Google, Meta, TikTok or Microsoft, to the payment method on that ad account. Snifferdog doesn't hold or spend your money directly.
Tip: each platform also lets you set an account-level spending limit as an extra safety net. Search for "account spending limit" in that platform's help centre.
