Three ways to start a brief

Upload a brief, fill in a form, or let Snifferdog create one with AI, and when to use each.

Every campaign starts with a brief. In your project's Briefs tab, Snifferdog asks how you'd like to start. There are three options.

1. Upload a brief

Upload a PDF or Word (DOCX) document. Snifferdog reads it and pulls out the strategy: your goal, audience, budget, dates and what you're promoting.

Best for: when you already have a brief written, or a client has sent you one. See How to write a great brief.

2. Fill in a form

Answer a few structured questions and Snifferdog takes it from there.

Best for: when you know what you want but haven't written it down.

3. Create with AI

Snifferdog drafts a brief for you from your account history and brand signals.

Best for: when you want more of the same. If you've run ten campaigns with a similar budget and platform split before, Create with AI will plan something very similar, with small changes to optimise performance.

It works whether or not your previous campaigns were run through Snifferdog, because connecting your platforms gives it access to your full campaign history. It works less well for brand-new accounts with no history, or when you want to do something quite different.

What happens next

Whichever way you start, your brief moves through the same steps: Analysis, Media Plan, Assets and Campaigns.
